The TV anime Steins;Gate has officially launched its 15th anniversary project, along with the release of a newly illustrated commemorative visual featuring the series’ main characters.
As part of the celebration, a large-scale exhibition will be held in Akihabara, Tokyo the iconic setting of the story in July. Additional anniversary projects and announcements are also expected to be revealed in the coming months.
Originally released in 2009 as a game for Xbox 360, Steins;Gate was later adapted into a TV anime that first aired in 2011. The series now celebrates its 15th anniversary in 2026. The anime is currently available for streaming on Crunchyroll:
Steins; Gate follows an eclectic group of individuals who have the ability to send text messages to the past. However throughout their experimentation process, an organization named SERN who has been doing their own research on time travel tracks them down. Now it’s a careful game of cat and mouse to not get caught and moreover, try to survive.
