The upcoming second part of The Misfit of Demon King Academy Season 2, scheduled to premiere in 2024 and covering the Selection Judgment arc, has released a captivating visual. The initial broadcast of Season 2 started in January of this year but encountered significant production challenges, resulting in delays. Studio SILVER LINK is still in charge of the animation of this season. This second part will cover the fifth arc of the original light novel series.
The source material for The Misfit of Demon King Academy series is a light novel written by Shu and beautifully illustrated by Yoshinori Shizuma. Serialization of the novel commenced in 2018, and it was later adapted into a manga series by Kayaharuka, which found its home in MangaUp! magazine.
Tragically, Kayaharuka, the artist behind the manga adaptation, passed away last year after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. As a result, the manga adaptation has been indefinitely suspended.

Anos Voldigord was a tyrannical Demon King that eradicated humans, spirits, and even the gods, but became bored of eternal warfare and reincarnated with dreams of a peaceful world. However, what awaited him in reincarnation after 2000 years were descendants who became too weak after being accustomed to peace, and all sorts of magic that deteriorated to the extreme. Anos enters Demon King Academy that gathers and educates those who are viewed as the reincarnation of the Demon King, but the academy could not see through his true powers and ends up branding him as a misfit.
