Toei has announced a new animated film label for the Kamen Rider franchise called “THE KAMENRIDER ANIMATED“. The label’s first project is a co-production between Aniplex and Shirogumi, featuring a completely original story with worldwide distribution. The anime will use graphical CG and manga-style visuals rather than traditional 3D CG.
The label will target both anime fans and newcomers to the franchise and collaborate with various partners on future projects.
Other announcements at the franchise’s 55th anniversary event included:
- A new Kamen Rider My-th series
- A new app game under the temporary title “Game Project Henshin”
- Upcoming films, including:
- Kamen Rider ZEZTZ x Super Space Sheriff Gavan Infinity (July 24)
- Kamen Rider Kabuto 20th Anniversary Film (November 6)
- Agito: Chōnōryoku Sensō (April 29)
Toei also revealed two new film labels:
- Kamen Rider Chronicle – films based on past Kamen Riders (first project: Kamen Rider Den-O 20th Anniversary)
- Kamen Rider Premium – big-budget films aimed at international audiences
