Doraemon: Nobita and the New Castle of the Undersea Devil, released on February 27 in 387 theaters, the film has reached a cumulative total of 3 billion yen (approximately $18.9 million) with 2.39 million admissions after five weeks.
To celebrate the film’s success, Toho Movies has made the creditless opening sequence available on its official YouTube channel for a limited time, until May 31. The opening features “Yume wo Kanaete Doraemon” performed by mao, a song that has been used as the Doraemon TV anime opening since 2007.

Since the release of the first film in 1980, the Doraemon the Movie series is celebrating its 45th installment this year. The first film screened in MX4D and 4DX formats will be Doraemon: Nobita and the New Castle of the Undersea Devil.
In the MX4D and 4DX versions, seat movements, vibrations, scents, lighting effects, wind, and water splashes are perfectly synchronized with the story. Audiences can enjoy a fully immersive experience, feeling as if they are exploring the ocean depths alongside Doraemon and his friends, using secret gadgets and an underwater buggy.
