The theatrical anime Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dear Friend is set to premiere in Japan on October 16, with a teaser PV now officially released. This information was unveiled during AnimeJapan 2026, held today, March 29, at Tokyo Big Sight.
This upcoming film is the latest installment in the Rascal Does Not Dream series and marks the final chapter, where the lingering mysteries of the “Puberty syndrome”, explored throughout both the high school and college arcs, will finally be resolved.

It was also announced that the first batch of movie ticket cards with exclusive bonuses will go on sale at theaters nationwide starting April 3. As a special gift, fans will receive a double-sided, full-color mini illustration card featuring artwork by director Soichi Masui and character designer Satomi Tamura.
To celebrate the conclusion of the Rascal Does Not Dream series, Aniplex has also begun sharing a series of “memorial visuals” on its official YouTube channel. These visuals highlight memorable moments of the heroines who have appeared throughout the story. The first installment premieres today, March 29 at 8 PM, with new visuals scheduled every Sunday at the same time.
