The new anime series The Ogre’s Bride will begin broadcasting this July. The series is directed by Kazuhito Omiya, who is working with Colored Pencil Animation Japan on the production.
The announcement was made today, March 28, at AnimeJapan 2026, held at Tokyo Big Sight in Tokyo.

The manga adaptation by Jun Togashi launched in Noicomi magazine in December 2021 and won the magazine’s annual girl comics ranking in both 2022 and 2023.
The light novel, written by Kureha and illustrated by Yū Shiroya, began in 2019 on Starts Publishing’s Novema! platform. It won the grand prize at the First Novema! Character Short Story Contest.
Set in a Japan where humans and demons live in harmony, the story follows Yuzu, an ordinary high school girl overshadowed by her older sister, the bride of a demon. Her life changes when a handsome ogre claims her as his bride.
