3rd Season (2025) Complete:
Hyakusho Kizoku: The Farmer’s Days is a memoir-like essay that chronicles Hiromu Arakawa’s seven years working as a farmer in Hokkaido before embarking on her career as a manga artist.
The anime’s first season aired for 12 episodes between July and September 2023, followed by a second 12-episode season that ran from October to December 2024. The third season premiered on October 3, 2025.
STORY:
Before becoming a manga artist, Hiromu Arakawa spent seven years in Hokkaido working on her family’s dairy farm and fields. With no days off, she raised cattle, grew vegetables, lived with the constant threat of bears, and dealt with mischievous Ezo chipmunks. The series portrays the harsh realities of Japan’s dairy and agricultural industries while celebrating hard work, humor, and resilience.
