In the Clear Moonlit Dusk Gets Live-Action Film for Fall 2026 in Japan

In the Clear Moonlit Dusk by Mika Yamamori is officially being adapted into a live-action film, with the first teaser visual now revealed. The movie is scheduled for release in fall 2026. Shunsuke Michieda will star as Kohaku Ichimura, while Seira Anzai will play Yoi Takiguchi.

The film will be directed by Kentaro Takemura, known for the live-action drama series TRILLION GAME. The screenplay is written by Yuichi Tokunaga, who previously worked on the live-action adaptation of Cells at Work!.

The original manga is currently serialized in Dessert, published by Kodansha. It ranked first at the 2023 ebookjapan Manga Awards and received the Grand Prize at the 2nd Minna no Oshi Romance Manga Awards. The series has surpassed 7.5 million copies in cumulative circulation worldwide. Since January, its TV anime adaptation has been airing across Japan on all 28 stations of TBS.
