February 13 is now officially “The Irregular at Magic High School: Big Brother Day” in Japan, announced by the Japan Anniversary Association. The date comes from an alternate reading of 02/13.
The upcoming movie, The Irregular at Magic High School THE MOVIE -Yotsuba Succession Arc-, is set to release on May 8, 2026. A special visual of Tatsuya Shiba was released to celebrate the day and tease the film.
The show’s official social media shared the announcement, and voice actors Yuichi Nakamura, Saori Hayami, and Chiwa Saito were photographed holding the official certificate.

Based on the light novel by Tsutomu Sato, The irregular at magic high school is set in a world where magic exists but instead of using chants and spells, magic users cast spells with their Casting Assistant Device (CAD). The CAD is infused with the user’s Psions (a substance-less thought particle) that activates the device and constructs the magic ritual.
