The series was originally written by Eiko Mutsuhana with illustrations by vient. It first appeared on the novel website Shosetsuka ni Naro in April 2019, before being published in print by Futabasha. Two light novel volumes were released between 2019 and 2020, and the series is available in English from Cross Infinite World.
A manga adaptation illustrated by Kamada has been serialized in Kadokawa’s KadoComi since August 2020. Five volumes have been released so far, with the sixth volume set to launch on February 5. Yen Press publishes the manga in English:
“Make me a love potion.”
And with that single sentence, the Good Witch of the Lake’s secret crush on the dashing Sir Harij ends in heartbreak. Still, when he promises to help her gather the ingredients, Rose is thrilled at the chance to gaze upon a man she’d normally never get to interact with. She learns to brace her pounding heart for their usual stilted conversations…but what is she to do when he inexplicably shows up at her doorstep with bread and a jar of apple butter?
