Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Film Concert Announced for August 1 in Japan

Evan Call and Milet join the film concert!

A film concert for the TV anime Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, written by Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe, will take place on August 1 at the Pacifico Yokohama National Convention Hall in Kanagawa.

The concert will feature anime footage alongside live performances by Evan Call, who has been composing for the series since its first season, and milet, the performer of the ending themes for both the first and second seasons.

Following the orchestra concert held in August 2024, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra will perform a selection of related pieces. Additionally, the fastest advance ticket applications for the film concert will include a bonus: the second original soundtrack, set to release on April 15.

The highly anticipated second season of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is now streaming exclusively on Crunchyroll.

The mage Frieren defeated the Demon King alongside the hero Himmel’s party after a 10-year quest. Peace was restored to the kingdom. Because she is an elf, she is able to live over a thousand years. She promises Himmel and the others that she will be back to see them and then sets out on a journey by herself. Fifty years later, Frieren goes to visit Himmel and the others. She remained unchanged, but Himmel and the others have aged and only a little of their lives remain. Later, she witnesses Himmel’s death. Frieren is pained by her desire to have spent more time getting to know people. With that regret in her heart, she then goes on a journey to do just that. On her journey, she meets many people and many events await her.
