NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE -OVERTURE- Unveils Preview Video & Ame-chan Character Art

Yostar Pictures is in charge of anime production.

A preview video for the theatrical advance version of the anime NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE -OVERTURE has been released. At the same time, a new character art featuring Ame-chan has been unveiled. The anime will begin screening in Japanese theaters on March 6, with television broadcasting scheduled to start in April 2026.

NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE originally launched on Windows and macOS on January 21, 2022, followed by a Nintendo Switch release in October the same year. The game later arrived on PlayStation 4 and 5 on January 20, 2025. According to the anime’s official website, the title has surpassed 3 million downloads worldwide, while its music has accumulated over 400 million streams.

Steam describes as follows:

NEEDY STREAMER OVERLOAD is a “multi-ending ADV” depicting daily life with “OMGkawaiiAngel”, a young girl with a rather extreme need for approval attempting to become the #1 “Internet Angel” (streamer). Gradually build up OMGkawaiiAngel’s number of followers as she spends her days streaming, using various ”stress relievers”, and generally being kinda messed up. Experience all the different crazy ups and downs and find out for yourself whether this story is even capable of having a happy ending.
