In the original work by Hideaki Sorachi, the character Enkaku appears, voiced by Kappei Yamaguchi. GINTAMA -Yoshiwara in Flames- is set for a nationwide release on February 13 in Japan. The film presents a brand-new animated adaptation of the fan-favorite “Yoshiwara in Flames” arc from Gintama.
It has also been confirmed that Kujira, Yu Sigmoto, and Minami Omi will reprise their roles as Otose, Catherine, and Tama, respectively. Alongside this announcement, a newly released scene cut has been revealed, highlighting Otose, Catherine, Tama and Elizabeth.

The upcoming film project will revisit the manga’s “Yoshiwara in Flames” arc, which was previously adapted into eight episodes of the TV anime back in 2009.
The anime series concluded in 2018 after four seasons. In addition to the main series, several films were released, including Gintama: The Final in 2021, as well as a wave of Gintama on Theater 2D features cinematic re-edits of story arcs previously adapted for television.
