GINTAMA -Yoshiwara in Flames- Anime Film Unveils Brand-New Stills

Based on Hideaki Sorachi’s hit manga.

A brand-new stills from the upcoming theatrical adaptation “GINTAMA – Yoshiwara in Flames –“, supervised by Hideaki Sorachi, has been revealed. The iconic “Yoshiwara in Flames” arc will return as a completely new adaptation for the big screen. The film is scheduled to premiere in Japan on February 13, 2026.

The upcoming film project will revisit the manga’s “Yoshiwara in Flames” arc, which was previously adapted into eight episodes of the TV anime back in 2009.

The anime series concluded in 2018 after four seasons. In addition to the main series, several films were released, including Gintama: The Final in 2021, as well as a wave of Gintama on Theater 2D features cinematic re-edits of story arcs previously adapted for television.
