Following the main trailer, Cosmic Princess Kaguya! has released a new character trailer spotlighting Kaguya and Iroha in their real-world forms, packed with expressive comedy and energetic animation. The original anime film will be available exclusively on Netflix worldwide starting January 22, 2026.
Shingo Yamashita, known for his work on opening sequences for JUJUTSU KAISEN, Chainsaw Man, and Urusei Yatsura, is making his feature film directorial debut with Cosmic Princess Kaguya!.

Iroha Sakayori is a busy high school student whose only escape is the popular online virtual world, Tsukuyomi. Here, people use clones to live out their dreams and pursue creative freedom. But Iroha’s ordinary life in Tokyo is suddenly flipped upside down when she finds a baby emerging from a glowing utility pole. The infant quickly grows into a girl her own age, forcing Iroha to face an unbelievable question: Is this girl the modern-day Princess Kaguya?
