Mone Kamishiraishi Releases Collaboration MV for PELELIU: Guernica of Paradise Anime Film

Directed by Goro Kuji at Shin-Ei Animation x Fugaku.

A collaborative music video featuring the anime film PELELIU: Guernica of Paradise, written by Kazuyoshi Takeda, and the theme song “Kiseki no Younakoto” by Mone Kamishiraishi has been released. The movie is set to premiere in Japanese theaters on December 5.

PELELIU: Guernica of Paradise was serialized in Hakusensha‘s Young Animal from 2016 to 2021 and received the Excellence Award from the Japan Cartoonists Association in 2017. A spinoff series, Peleliu Gaiden, is currently ongoing in Young Animal.

INTRODUCTION:
This monumental animation is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. Out of 10,000 soldiers, only 34 survived on the hellish battlefield of Peleliu Island. What did those young soldiers feel as they fought till their dying breath?
