This year marks the 30th anniversary of Katsuhiro Otomo’s acclaimed 1995 anthology project, MEMORIES. To commemorate the milestone, the three short films that make up the anthology are being screened across Japan during the Winter season.
Highlights include a special one-week-only 35mm screening at Shin Bungeiza in Ikebukuro this January, accompanied by a brand-new visual created for the occasion.

“MEMORIES“, the omnibus anime film released in 1995 and marking its 30th anniversary this year, is composed of three short stories. In addition to Katsuhiro Otomo, the film also features direction by Koji Morimoto and Tensai Okamura.
This screening is part of the revival project presented by Filmarks. As part of the initiative, Filmarks will offer exclusive visitor benefits and launch a range of future projects. Additionally, the 4K ULTRA HD Blu-ray edition of MEMORIES is set for release on December 24. The package will include special bonuses such as a layout storyboard from “Magnetic Rose” and a dubbing script covering all three films. A variety of corporate perks have also been prepared to accompany the release.
