To mark the climax of Dragon Ball’s 40th anniversary, a major event titled “Dragon Ball Genki Damatsuri” will take place on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at Makuhari Messe.
Following last year’s “Dragon Ball Daimatsuri”, this new event will bring together the latest news, games, and special guests from across the Dragon Ball universe. Admission is free but invitation-only, and fans can apply for tickets through the official website.

Big Announcements on Stage
The main stage will feature two key segments:
- Genkida Stage Part 1
- New Development Super Announcement! Genkida Stage Part 2
Voice actress Masako Nozawa and executive producer Akio Ino will appear live to share major updates on the future of Dragon Ball. Fans are eagerly anticipating what new projects or surprises might be revealed.
Special Live Performance
The event will conclude with a special live concert by legendary singer Hironobu Kageyama, famous for classic Dragon Ball themes such as “CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA”. His performance will close the main stage on a high note for long-time fans.
Exclusive Booths and Tournaments
The exhibition area will showcase a variety of Dragon Ball content, including the latest updates on console games, mobile titles, card games, and figures.

- Dragon Ball Super Card Game Fusion World Ultimate Battle EX in Genkida Matsuri” — a special tournament accessible via BANDAI TCG+.
- Game booths for “Dragon Ball Sparking! ZERO”, “Dokkan Battle,” “Legends,” “Gexin Squadra,” “Super Divers,” and more.
- A V Jump × S.H.Figuarts collaboration display celebrating over 200 figures in the series.
New Game Reveal Incoming
A major new title will be unveiled at the “Genkida Stage + (Plus) New Game Super Announcement Stage!” promising to reveal the next big evolution in Dragon Ball gaming.
Exclusive Merchandise
Fans can look forward to event-exclusive merchandise and 40th anniversary commemorative products, including items featuring newly drawn original illustrations. Further details will be released closer to the event.
Dragon Ball is a famous Japanese manga created by Akira Toriyama. It was originally published by Shueisha in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1984 to 1995. The English version of the manga is available from VIZ Media.

Dragon Ball DAIMA Story:
