Kaya-chan Isn’t Scary Anime to Premiere in January 2026

EAST FISH STUDIO is in charge of animation.

The TV anime “Kaya-chan Isn’t Scary,” created by Yuritaro, is set to premiere on TV Tokyo and other networks in Japan in January 2026. Alongside the announcement, additional cast members, a new key visual, and a promotional commercial have been released.

The story centers on Kaya, a well-known troublemaker in her kindergarten class, and her teacher, Chie, who has been asked to keep a close eye on her. One day, Kaya unexpectedly pushes her friend off the swing. While it appears to be a cruel act, it turns out that Kaya possesses a secret ability to see spirits.
