Katsuhiro Otomo’s MEMORIES Returns in 4K Remaster Across Japan

Sci-Fi anime anthology film!

The 4K digitally remastered version of MEMORIES the omnibus film written, executive produced, and overseen by Katsuhiro Otomo will return to theaters in Japan. The revival screening will run for a limited two-week engagement starting November 28, across 64 theaters nationwide, with additional venues to be announced.

MEMORIES“, the omnibus anime film released in 1995 and marking its 30th anniversary this year, is composed of three short stories. In addition to Katsuhiro Otomo, the film also features direction by Koji Morimoto and Tensai Okamura.

This screening is part of the revival project presented by Filmarks. As part of the initiative, Filmarks will offer exclusive visitor benefits and launch a range of future projects. Additionally, the 4K ULTRA HD Blu-ray edition of MEMORIES is set for release on December 24. The package will include special bonuses such as a layout storyboard from “Magnetic Rose” and a dubbing script covering all three films. A variety of corporate perks have also been prepared to accompany the release.
