The second promotional video for the TV anime Sentenced to Be a Hero has been released. Alongside it, Shoya Chiba and Yoko Hikasa have been announced as new additions to the cast.
The series, originally slated to premiere in October, has been rescheduled to January 2026. Its debut will feature an extended 60-minute special episode.

The light novel series Sentenced to Be a Hero debuted in 2021 and has since amassed five volumes as of August 2023. Published by KADOKAWA under the Dengeki no Shibungei label, the series features illustrations by MEPHISTO.

Heroism—a punishment for only the worst criminals. Those sentenced to the fate of a hero are forced to fight on the front lines against deadly centers of contagion that rot the land and turn its creatures into roving armies of violent beasts.
