Hyakusho Kizoku: The Farmer’s Days Season 3 Premieres October 3

The anime adaptation of Hiromu Arakawa’s autobiographical manga Hyakusho Kizoku: The Farmer’s Days is set to return this fall with its third season, beginning on Friday, October 3. A newly released promotional video offers a first look at the upcoming season.

The clip also debuts the anime’s new theme song, “Kage ni Nari Hinata ni Nari”, performed by the three-piece rock band pachae.

Hyakusho Kizoku: The Farmer’s Days is a memoir-like essay that chronicles Hiromu Arakawa’s seven years working as a farmer in Hokkaido before embarking on her career as a manga artist. The first season of its anime adaptation premiered in July 2023, followed by a second season in October 2024.

STORY:
Hiromu Arakawa, before becoming a manga artist, spent seven years on her family’s Hokkaido farm, enduring a tough life with daily challenges. She worked year-round, tending to cows and crops, and facing local wildlife. Her experiences reflect the hard realities of Japanese farming, yet also highlight the admirable and humorous resilience of those who work the land.
