Shabake Anime Unveils Ichitaro Character PV, Special Program & Pre-Screening Announced

Based on a novel by Megumi Hatanaka.

The character PV for Ichitaro, the protagonist of the upcoming TV anime Shabake, has been unveiled. The series is scheduled to premiere in Japan this October.

Ahead of the broadcast, a special program revealing new updates will stream on September 9. Additionally, a pre-screening event will take place on September 27 at Shinjuku Wald 9 in Tokyo, featuring cast members Daiki Yamashita (Ichitaro), Koji Okino (Nikichi), and Taku Yashiro (Sasuke).

Shabake follows the story of Ichitaro, the heir to Nagasakiya, one of the largest commercial establishments in Nihonbashi. Born frail and unable to venture outside, Ichitaro is cherished by spirits like Sasuke, an inugami, and Jinkichi, a hakutaku, who watch over him. One evening, Ichitaro secretly leaves his home and witnesses a murder, setting him on a quest to uncover the culprit with the help of his loyal spirit companions.
