Internationally acclaimed illustrator Acky Bright will appear at Anime NYC 2025 as an official Guest of Honor, fresh off his Anime Expo showcase and in the middle of his Summer U.S. Tour. Fans can catch him at Exhibitor Booth #1926 all weekend.
Acky will present live drawing sessions in collaboration with The Evolution Store, blending his signature “kawakakkoii” (“cute and cool”) style with themes of nature, science, and art. On Friday, August 22 at 5 PM (Autograph Table 19), fans can also meet Acky during an official autograph signing.
Throughout the convention, Acky is hosting a special raffle at Booth #1926. By following his Instagram accounts, attendees can enter to win prizes such as:
- A hand-drawn T-shirt shikishi (grand prize)
- Limited-edition T-shirts
- Art books, posters, stickers, and more

Anime NYC is the latest stop in Acky’s whirlwind summer tour, which began with a packed schedule at Anime Expo in Los Angeles. Following New York, Acky will appear at:
- Things from Another World at Universal CityWalk (LA) – 4pm, August 27
- Kinokuniya Seattle – 5pm, August 28
- PAX West (Seattle) – August 29–31 (featuring a soon-to-be-revealed collaboration)
This tour is building anticipation for a major announcement in October 2025, which Acky has been teasing across his social channels. Fans are encouraged to stay tuned for updates and behind-the-scenes content.
About Acky Bright:
Acky Bright’s style has been described as “cute and cool” and he has created artwork for many global companies such as BMW, Hasbro, Lexus, Red Bull, Meta, and more. He also regularly performs improvised live drawings on huge canvases all over the world. In Japan, he is known for his work as a character designer, including the much-discussed “Tillo Remix” collaboration with YOASOBI, VAUNDY, ADO, and Suisei Hoshimachi.
While drawing traditional Japanese manga, he also has experience with creating cover art, comics, and writing for DC Comics in the U.S. Acky Bright’s activities are attracting attention as a rare artist who can work with both Eastern manga and Western American comics culture. He also participated as the main designer in the “WcDonald’s” worldwide campaign conducted by McDonald’s in the U.S. and has received numerous advertising awards, including The ONE SHOW.
