The classic anime films Patlabor: The Movie and Patlabor 2: The Movie are set to receive brand-new 4K UHD Blu-ray editions in Japan, featuring both English audio and English subtitles.
These releases are based on fresh remasters using 4K film scans, offering fans the highest quality versions to date. The information was released to coincide with Patlabor Day on August 10.
Patlabor: The Movie will be shown for two weeks starting October 3, with its 4K UHD Blu-ray release scheduled for Wednesday, January 28. Patlabor 2: The Movie will follow, with screenings starting October 17 and its 4K UHD Blu-ray release set for Wednesday, March 25.
