The TV anime Sentenced to Be a Hero has announced new cast members: Yoji Ueda will voice Norgalle Senridge, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka plays Tatsuya, and Jun Fukushima joins as Tsav.
Additionally, the opening video for the first episode has been released. The anime’s broadcast premiere has officially been postponed from October to January 2026. The debut episode will air as an extended 60-minute special.

The light novel series Sentenced to Be a Hero debuted in 2021 and has since amassed five volumes as of August 2023. Published by KADOKAWA under the Dengeki no Shibungei label, the series features illustrations by MEPHISTO.

Heroism—a punishment for only the worst criminals. Those sentenced to the fate of a hero are forced to fight on the front lines against deadly centers of contagion that rot the land and turn its creatures into roving armies of violent beasts. And if a hero dies, their only reward is being brought back to life so they can continue the never-ending battle.
