The Detective Is Already Dead Season 2 is officially set to air in 2026. A new teaser visual has been unveiled, along with the announcement of the production staff.

The first season of The Detective Is Already Dead aired from July to September 2021 and was adapted from the mystery light novel series written by Nigoju and illustrated by Umibozu.
Crunchyroll is streaming the anime’s first season and describes the story as such:
After thwarting a hijacking with beautiful, silver-haired detective Siesta, Kimihiko leads a life of globe-trotting and crime-solving—until Siesta dies. A year later, a new case will open old wounds as it threads murder, conspiracy, and his dead partner!
