The TV anime Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia, adapted from Tomato Soup, is set to air on TV Asahi in 2026. The series’ “Super Teaser Visual” has just been unveiled.

TV Asahi has announced that Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia will be featured at their booth during Anime Expo 2025, one of the largest anime conventions in North America. As part of the event, TV Asahi will host a special panel where producers Go Inagaki (Science SARU) and Kazuki Endo (TV Asahi) will discuss the series and highlight what makes it unique and compelling.
The original work won first place in the 2023 Manga Taisho Award (Female Edition). It is currently being serialized on Akita Shoten’s web manga platform, Souffle.

Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia is a court drama set in 13th-century Mongolia.
It follows Sitara (Fatima), a former slave girl captured by the Mongolian Empire, who meets Töregene , the 6th wife of the Mongolian Emperor—who also harbors complicated feelings toward the Empire. Together, they begin to disrupt the very foundation of the empire.
