The official poster for Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc has been unveiled! The highly anticipated film is set to premiere in Japan on September 19, 2025.
A MAPPA panel is set for July 3 at Anime Expo 2025, featuring MAPPA President Manabu Otsuka and Vice President Hiroya Hasegawa. They will discuss the upcoming film Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc and more!
The movie will begin its global rollout in September 24, with screenings in the United States starting on October 29, 2025. Check out the list of International theatrical dates:

INTRODUCTION:
“Chainsaw Man” is a manga serialized in Shueisha’s “Shonen Jump+” that has sold over 30,000,000 copies. In 2022, the series was broadcast as a TV Anime series that was made by animation studio MAPPA (Notable works: “JUJUTSU KAISEN”, “Attack on Titan Final Season”, etc.), creating buzz all over the world.
Now in 2025, the episode that made the world go wild during its serialization is coming to theaters as an animated movie!
STORY:
Denji became “Chainsaw Man”, a boy with a devil’s heart, and is now part of Special Division 4’s devil hunters. After a date with Makima, the woman of his dreams, Denji takes shelter from the rain. There he meets Reze, a girl who works in a café.
The first season of Chainsaw Man was a huge success, with memorable characters and a unique aesthetic. VIZ Media releases the manga in English, Crunchyroll describes the series as such:
Denji is a teenage boy living with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. Due to the debt his father left behind, he has been living a rock-bottom life while repaying his debt by harvesting devil corpses with Pochita.
One day, Denji is betrayed and killed. As his consciousness fades, he makes a contract with Pochita and gets revived as “Chainsaw Man” — a man with a devil’s heart.
