Let’s Play Webcomic Gets Anime Adaptation in 2025

Is Sam ready for the toughest game she's ever played?

Leeanne M. Krecic’s popular webcomic Let’s Play is getting a TV anime adaptation, set to premiere in 2025. The series will be streamed on Crunchyroll. Renowned voice actress Kana Hanazawa will voice the protagonist, Sam Young.

The anime is being produced by OLM. Alongside the announcement, the production team has revealed teaser visual and a special preview video.

Let’s Play” will be featured at Anime Expo 2025, taking place in Los Angeles, USA from July 3 to 6. A special stage event is scheduled for July 3, which will include an advance screening of the first episode, followed by a talk session with creator Leeanne M. Krecic, director Tomiyasu, and producers Heather Horn, Hana Sugawara, and Minamika Sakamoto.

The series is described as follows:

Samara “Sam” Young is a developer in Los Angeles who’s about to achieve her dreams with her first video game, Ruminate. That is, until a popular streamer gives the game a scathing review. Even worse, Sam finds out the troublesome critic is now her new neighbor! Get lost in a comedic, romantic, and all-too-real story about gaming, memes, and social anxiety. Come for the plot, stay for the doggo.
