Kyoto Animation Returns with Hybrid Celebration of Music and Art in October

Two-day Kyoto event to feature production art exhibit, staff talks, and symphonic concert.

Kyoto Animation has unveiled the poster and trailer for its upcoming 7th Kyoto Animation Thanks Event, titled This Is What We Are Now!! – Meet the Worlds of KyoAni. The event will take place on October 25 and 26, 2025, at Miyako Messe in Kyoto.

The official trailer and event visual are now live, giving fans a first glimpse into the experience awaiting them this fall.

This year’s event returns to the studio’s core identity, combining its beloved musical programming with a more comprehensive celebration of its creative work. The event is split into two sections:

  • An exhibition area showcasing over 1,000 production materials from seven iconic KyoAni titles, including Violet Evergarden, CITY THE ANIMATION, Sound! Euphonium, and Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions.
  • A stage hall featuring talk panels with KyoAni staff, followed by a concert by Heartbeat Symphony, performing music from featured series.

Tickets are now available via advance general sales, as well as a lottery system for premium access and stage seating.
