Monkey D. Luffy, the beloved protagonist of ONE PIECE, is set to throw the ceremonial first pitch at Fenway Park on Saturday, May 3, 2025, during the Boston Red Sox x ONE PIECE Theme Day.
This marks the first time a ONE PIECE character mascot will participate in such a historic pregame ceremony, symbolizing a major crossover between anime culture and American baseball.
The event, organized by Toei Animation in collaboration with the Boston Red Sox, sold out in record time, with 6,300 anime fans expected to attend. All general admission ticket holders will receive a limited-edition Red Sox x ONE PIECE baseball jersey, while VIP ticket holders will also receive an exclusive baseball cap.

Before the 4:10 PM Red Sox-Twins game, fans can enjoy a ONE PIECE fan meet-up, photo ops with Monkey D. Luffy and Chopper mascots, and a ONE PIECE Card Game demo.

The Egghead Island arc of the anime is currently airing new episodes every weekend, continuing the Straw Hat crew’s legendary journey.
