The TV anime There’s No Way I’ll Be Your Lover! Unless… is set to premiere in July 2025. A teaser PV, additional cast members, and new character visuals have been revealed. The series is an adaptation of the popular light novel written by Teren Mikami, illustrated by Eku Takeshima, and published by Shueisha under the Dash X Bunko label.

Based on the light novels by Teren Mikami and Eku Takeshima, Natsumi Uchinuma. Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the official English editions of both the original light novel and Musshu’s manga adaptation, summarizing the plot as follows:
Awkward, introverted Amaori Renako is leaving her lonely middle school life behind, determined to become an outgoing and popular high schooler. Glamorous, confident Oduka Mai is Renako’s total opposite: wealthy, carefree, and a literal fashion model. Against the odds, the two girls form an immediate connection.
