The trailer for the anime Kairyu to Yubinya-san has been released. To celebrate Pokémon Day 2025, marking the franchise’s anniversary, Kairyu and Yubinya-san will premiere on the official Pokémon YouTube channel on February 27. The main character Hana is voiced by Riko Fukumoto.

The theme song, “Paper Airplane”, is performed by Suis, the vocalist of Yorushika, with music composed by Evan Call, known for his work on Violet Evergarden and Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End. In addition to the theme song, Evan Call also composed the anime’s soundtrack. Both the theme song and the full soundtrack will be released on February 27, coinciding with the anime’s premiere.
Hana, a young girl who yearns for Kairyu, a postman, discovers an unaddressed letter and sets off on an adventure with her Pokémon to uncover the sender’s identity.
