GHOST IN THE SHELL Exhibition Officially Announced for 2026 in Japan!

The first-ever cross-series exhibition!

The first-ever “GHOST IN THE SHELL” exhibition, covering the entire anime series, will take place in Tokyo in 2026. The “Ghost in the Shell Comprehensive Anime Series Exhibition” is being organized to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the 1995 theatrical release of “Ghost in the Shell,” directed by Mamoru Oshii.

The teaser visual released alongside the event announcement features the original anime artwork of Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell, along with scenes from the anime series.

From Shirow Masamune’s original manga to the upcoming TV anime set to air in 2026, produced by Science SARU, this exhibition will be the most extensive in Ghost in the Shell history, highlighting all anime series spanning the franchise’s 30-year legacy.

Since Masamune Shirow published the original “Ghost in the Shell” comic in 1989 in “YOUNG MAGAZINE” (Kodansha), the series has continued to captivate and inspire audiences worldwide through various adaptations, including Mamoru Oshii‘s 1995 film “GHOST IN THE SHELL,” multiple anime series, and a Hollywood live-action film.
