The manga Komi Can’t Communicate has concluded with its final chapter in the ninth issue of Weekly Shonen Sunday, released today, the 29th. After an 8-year and 8-month journey since its debut in May 2016, the series has officially come to an end.
Additionally, to celebrate the completion, the cover illustration from the same issue will be released as a reproduction original artwork. This edition will feature a digital signature and a unique serial number from the author, Tomohito Oda.
The anime adaptation of Komi Can’t Communicate premiered in October 2021 with a 12-episode first season. A second season, also consisting of 12 episodes, followed in April 2022, with both seasons streaming on Netflix. Additionally, an eight-episode live-action drama adaptation was released in 2021.
VIZ Media publishes the manga and describes the story as follows:
Timid Tadano is a total wallflower, and that’s just the way he likes it. But all that changes when he finds himself alone in a classroom on the first day of high school with the legendary Komi. He quickly realizes she isn’t aloof—she’s just super awkward. Now he’s made it his mission to help her on her quest to make 100 friends!!
