Netflix has unveiled a new trailer for Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2, which is set to premiere on January 16. Created by showrunners Kevin Kolde (Castlevania) and Clive Bradley (Trapped), the series continues to expand the Castlevania universe with its latest chapter.
The animated series will run for 8 episodes (~25 minutes). Bradley takes on the roles of creator and writer, while Sam Deats and Adam Deats share directing responsibilities. The series is produced by Project 51 Productions and Powerhouse Animation for Netflix.

The sequel was announced a week after the first season’s 8 episodes premiered on Netflix on September 28. The Castlevaniaanime series is part of Konami’s now iconic Castlevania galaxy of video games, which includes toys, manga, graphic novels and more.

France, 1792 – the height of the French Revolution. In a remote part of western France, the counter-revolutionary aristocracy has forged an alliance with a terrifying Vampire Messiah, who promises to ‘eat the sun’ and unleash an army of vampires and nightcreatures to crush the revolution and enslave humanity. Annette, a sorceress from the Caribbean, seeks out Richter Belmont, last descendant of the long-fabled family of vampire hunters, to lead the resistance.
