TO BE HERO X Anime Shares The Johnnies Character Concept Video!

Crunchyroll will stream the series.

A new concept video for the anime series TO BE HERO X, produced by bilibili and Aniplex, has been unveiled. The video spotlights the character The Johnnies, voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, and features the song “growL” performed by Misaki Umase.

The TV anime TO BE HERO X is scheduled to air on Fuji TV in 2025, with Crunchyroll confirming during Anime Expo 2023 that it will also stream the series.

The series is based on the original work by Li Haolin, who is also directing it. The music composers for the series include Sawano, Kohta YamamotoKenmochi HidefumiDAIKI (AWSM.), Shuhei MutsukiHideyuki FukasawaMisaki Umase, and Ryūichi Takada (monaca). Animation production is being handled by BeDream.

Crunchyroll streams both TO BE HERO and To Be Heroine, the two earlier series in the franchise. The platform describes the latter as follows:

Everyone around Futaba expects her to grow up and become an adult, and she’s lost the ability to keep herself mentally balanced. At the bottom of her heart, her childish self is still there, and still strong.

One day she wanders into another dimension, a world where the light has been lost, and darkness rules. The people there exist as babies wearing only their underpants. The clothes they wear can be summoned as powerful fighters called SpiCloths.
