This manga award, established in 2014 by Da Vinci and Nico Nico, is a user-driven competition where readers nominate manga they believe have the potential to be the “next big thing.” From these nominations, the most popular works are shortlisted as nominees, and users then vote to determine the grand prize winner.

Kagurabachi by author Takeru Hokazono, who won the 100th Tezuka Prize in 2020 for his author profile “Hoten”. MANGA plus publishes the manga in English and describes it as follows:

Young Chihiro spends his days training under his famous swordsmith father. One day he hopes to become a great sword-maker himself. The goofy father and the serious son–they thought these days would last forever. But suddenly, tragedy strikes. A dark day soaked in blood. Chihiro and his blade now live only for revenge. Epic sword battle action!

The manga Girl Meets Rock! is currently serialized on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ website. Although it was previously available in English on MANGA Plus, it has since been removed from the platform.
