Cells at Work Live Action Film Adds 9 New Cast Members!

Nine more cast members have been revealed for the live-action film “Cells at Work,” which is based on the original story by Akane Shimizu. The film is set to hit theaters in Japan on December 13.

Fukase from SEKAI NO OWARI is taking on the role of the strongest enemy for the cells, but the character’s name hasn’t been revealed yet, adding an air of mystery to the role.

In addition, with today’s cast announcement, the final version of the visual has been released!

The film is directed by Hideki Takeuchi with a screenplay by Yuichi Tokunaga. Akane Shimizu’s Cells at Work! manga was serialized in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine from January 2015 to January 2021 and released in six volumes. The TV anime adaptation aired for two seasons between 2018 and 2021.
