Two new visuals & a special report video for the live-action adaptation of 5 Centimeters per Second , based on Makoto Shinkai’s acclaimed anime film have been released. Additionally, Haruto Ueda and Noa Shiroyama have been announced as new cast members.
The live-action 5 Centimeters per Second is set to premiere in Japan on October 10, 2025. The promotional clip features a newly recorded cover of “Omoide wa Touku no Hibi,” the original anime’s insert song, performed by Ayatake Ezaki.

After transferring to the same elementary school, Takaki and Akari became best friends.However, their lives change when the families of both are forced to relocate.
