A brand-new installment of the Crayon Shin-chan series, « Eiga Crayon Shin-chan: Kikikaikai! Ora no Yokai Vacation, » has been officially announced. Alongside the announcement, a preview video and a teaser visual were unveiled. The 33rd theatrical film in the franchise is scheduled to hit theaters on July 31, 2026 in Japan

The film is directed by Masaki Watanabe, who has served as director of the Crayon Shin-chan TV anime since 2022 and has been in charge of storyboarding for the series since 2024. The screenplay is written by Yoshiko Nakamura, known for her work on the Crayon Shin-chan TV anime, marking her first time writing a script for a feature film in the franchise.
